The town
Where the commercial work is
Torrevieja's trade is concentrated in a few clear places, and each brings its own kind of door. The urban commercial core runs along Ramón Gallud and Caballero de Rodas and their cross streets, roughly between Calle Orihuela and Calle Apolo, with pedestrian stretches where the van parks at the edge and the tools come the rest of the way on foot.
The seafront promenades are hospitality above all: bars and restaurants whose doors are opened and shut a hundred times a day and which face straight into salt air. Avenida de las Habaneras and the bus station area hold smaller shops, several serving particular communities, and Avenida Cortes Valencianas the larger formats. Behind them is the Casagrande business park, about 110,000 square metres of units and offices.

Season
Trading through a season that triples the town
From July the population goes past 350,000 and the paseos fill from late afternoon. For a business that means more footfall through the same door, deliveries at awkward hours and parking that disappears. Two things are worth doing before it starts: check that every door and shutter still locks without being persuaded, and make sure more than one person can open the premises.
If a door has been forced, that is a different visit and a faster one: making a forced door secure again. Outside trading hours, the emergency call-out covers premises as well as homes, and the contact page says which channel gets the quickest answer.

Can you come before we open rather than during service?
That is how most of this work is done. A bar on the paseo does not want a locksmith in the doorway at nine in the evening, and a shop on Ramón Gallud does not want one on a Friday morning. The visit is booked around your hours.
Our shutter lock will not lift and there is a delivery due.
Shutter locks fail more often than shop doors here, and salt plus sand is usually why. The shutter is opened first so you can trade, and the lock is dealt with once the delivery is in.
We are changing staff and want the old keys to stop working.
Changing the cylinders on the doors staff can reach is the reliable way to do that. Where several doors are involved they can be arranged so that managers open everything and staff open only what they need.
Do you work in the industrial units at Casagrande?
Yes. Units, offices and storerooms in the business park are the same work as a shop front, with bigger doors and usually more of them. Access to the unit has to be arranged with whoever holds the keys before the van sets off.
Our premises are only open in the season.
Very common along the seafront. A shutter or a door that has stood closed since October behaves like any other lock that has not moved: it is worth a check before the season starts rather than on the morning you want to open.
